Meet the EOE Team
Luis is an experienced Learning Designer & Digital Learning Strategist with a proven history designing and developing highly engaging and effective digital and instructor-led training for the U.S. Navy, UCF Institute of Simulation & Training, FIU Online, University of Miami, Royal Caribbean Ltd, and American University. His expertise lies in leading cross-functional project teams and translating desired learning outcomes into high-impact learning experiences. His areas of interest include researching emerging educational technology, building communities of practice, leveraging learning analytics and practicing digital pedagogy.
Ashley is an Instructional Designer with the E-Learning Support Team and focuses on helping AU faculty and staff design and build online and hybrid courses. As part of this collaborative process, she advises faculty on writing course learning outcomes; developing materials, activities, and assessments; aligning all course content; and designing a supportive online learning environment for students. Ashley supports equity and inclusivity in online education, and the courses she works with faculty to design meet national standards for quality online course design and follow principles of Universal Design for Learning.
Zhiping is an Instructional Designer at the Office of Digital Learning and Strategy. Known for her love of visual storytelling and innovative educational technology, she thrives on designing high-quality and engaging online learning experience for people to connect, interact, learn, and grow together. Zhiping partners with AU faculty to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate online and hybrid courses using an agile design approach. She also provides advice for instructional challenges and trains faculty to leverage technology and implement teaching pedagogy effectively.
